Yes, if you’re bringing a dog from the EU to Great Britain, they must receive tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours (1-5 days) before arrival. This treatment must be recorded in the AHC. However, dogs travelling directly from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Finland, Norway, or Malta are exempt.

To bring a pet into the UK, your pet must be microchipped, have a valid rabies vaccination, and hold an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) or pet passport (if applicable). Dogs travelling from certain countries also require tapeworm treatment before entering Great Britain.
